How is everyone?

Alright. I know I have been sort of "avoiding" this blog. Although I have been on the internet, I just wasn't in the mood to do any crafts since um... well... almost three months ago? So I just went AWOL from here.

So I feel like typing up an update of sorts. Well here's what's going on in my life.

First and most important, I finally have my immigration papers mailed! And I'm now waiting for a response from the Homeland Security first, that they got my application for the removal of the conditions on my status as a US permanent resident; and second, that they finally processed my papers. So, there. That's where I'm at.

I have been writing for a web magazine! I have always wanted to write a book about my childhood and I found this very interactive site about life in the Philippines. And so, I thought it was perfect avenue for me to one, enhance my writing skills. The site has quite an impressive traffic and I figured I would have instant feedback which I so far actually get! So I now write articles for the site about my life in the Philippines which of course starts about my childhood. I am supposed to write once a week although in the past weeks, things have come up that I have done only two in the past month I believe. My next article is to be published two days from now. So I am essentially writing "my book" one article at a time.

For the more trivial things about me right now, well, my fridge needs consolidating! Hubby came home with our favorite Church's chicken and there was hardly any room in the fridge for the leftover. I'm sitting on a bedsheet that needs de-staining because my daughter spilled chocolate milk on it. I just did a little grocery shopping this afternoon and finally got me bleach (yes these sheets are white!) and so I can actually wash 'em tomorrow.

I haven't opened that drawer where I put my butterflies. I don't know when. I haven't thought of that actually.

About two weeks ago, me and my children spent about a week at a friend's house. It was only about three and a half hours away from home and hubby is working nights anyways. My friend and her husband are renting a lake front house at the Lake of the Ozarks area here in Missouri. Me and the kids and another mother-son (other than the host who has a son, too) enjoyed that little vacation we all took and spent all over the area with the little ones. We are thinking about doing it once a year.

Well, my daughter is turning three this September and my son turned one last month. Wow. I'm scared that I'll wake up one day and realize that they're both in high school!

What else should I add? Hmn. Well, my tub needs scrubbed. I hate the job with a purple passion but somebody has to do it. I'm trying to get everything in order so I'd be ready for whatever we end up doing this weekend but I never seem to get caught up with housework.

Well maybe because I have been loving this good good weather so much and I have been out most of the day. My children also love being out and so we all just keep making excuses to go out. Works for me!

I also need to schedule a dental appointment for me and a derma appointment, for me also. I still get these adult pimples quite often and I have been trying to be patient with them but I'm just tired of them and I have about weaned my son from breastfeeding that I should be able to do something about them already. Also I have these annoying pimple-like bumps on my left arm that I want gone.

Well, this post probably sounds like I'm whining but I'm actually quite happy and inspired everyday. I probably should watch a little more HGTV so I get my good housekeeping mojo back. But I haven't been watching much TV either.

Oh and I have been thinking about starting a small business out where my friend (whom we stayed with) lives. Jeff has a non-working farm in that area with a farmhouse that needs fixed. But everything will of course have to wait until I get my status approved and then I will start some extensive research on the matter.

So, that's why my aida has not even seen the light of day for this long. But I'm sure it will. I do want to keep in touch with you my crafty friends, and anybody who happens to read this post. Oh, I have a facebook that I now update quite often, most of the time through my phone. So if you have a facebook account, I'd love to add you to about only 30 something people I have on there.

Okidokey. Tata!

You have been keeping busy! I get adult pimples from time to time and they drive me insane too!

If your husband is amaerican , you should not have any problems getting your green card, right? Immigration issues are such a pain ...

Hope your mojo gets back to you someday? Maybe you should check some stitchers photo albums to get the inspiration back? ;-)
